A recent offer sent out by the 2020 Texas football recruiting class went to elite Broken Arrow offensive tackle Andrew Raym.

The 2020 Texas football recruiting class is hoping to build up the offensive line commits, which is already off to a strong start following the 2019 National Signing Day. Of the three commits for this recruiting class for Texas football, two of them fall along the offensive line.

Texas football can continue to build up the offensive line by adding a commit like four-star Broken Arrow High School and Broken Arrow, OK, offensive tackle Andrew Raym. This 2019 Texas football recruiting class sent an offer out to Raym on Feb. 6, which was National Signing Day for the 2019 cycle.

The nation’s No. 56 2020 high school prospect and the third best offensive tackle has a growing offer sheet that includes a nice list of of schools. The Texas Longhorns were the 18th offer for this elite offensive tackle that should continue to get more national attention.

Some of the other notable offers for Raym include the Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Michigan Wolverines. Pretty much every blue blood that heavily recruits this region of the country is in on the recruitment of Raym.

However, head Texas football coach Tom Herman will be fighting an uphill battle against his biggest rival to land the commitment from Raym. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions gives Oklahoma the early edge to get Raym’s pledge when it’s all said and done. Those same Crystal Ball Predictions has Oklahoma State and Notre Dame listed just behind the Sooners.

And, Rivals FutureCast doesn’t have any forecasts yet but FutureFanCast also gives Oklahoma the edge. Oklahoma appears to be the favorite, but Oklahoma State is a growing candidate in the recruitment of Raym too. The Oklahoma schools will be the main competition to land Raym.

If the Horns can add Raym to this offensive line mix for the 2020 recruiting class, he would be the highest rated commit for his position group by far. In general, Raym would be the highest rated commit for this 2020 recruiting class for the Horns. It would be a welcome addition for offensive line coach Herb Hand.

The film on Raym shows an overpowering 6-foot-5 and 300 pound offensive tackle with solid footwork that excels in run and pass blocking. He holds up long enough so that his quarterback doesn’t have to worry too much about a collapsing pocket, and his fundamental strengths are noticeable on almost every down on his highlights.

Raym is part of a powerhouse high school football program in the state of Oklahoma. Broken Arrow won the state title this past season, so Raym is getting to play at a very high level that is comparable to the high school level in the state of Texas. He’s got some good exposure before he begins his collegiate career.
