1. Coaching stability

It’s never a given that coaching stability can hold up over a two-year course. The college football coaching carousel is something that can completely changes its direction in just a matter of days, as we figured out during the hectic start to the 2019 off-season.

A program that took the blunt end of the worst that the coaching carousel has to bring was the USC Trojans. Entering the off-season, it looked as if USC was going to replace former offensive coordinator Tee Martin with the former Texas Tech Red Raiders head coach (now with the Arizona Cardinals) Kliff Kingsbury. But, Kingsbury left just as quickly as he arrived with USC and caused havoc on the recruiting trail for that program because of it.

With all the coaching instability that comes along with the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions favorite to get Flowe’s commitment, USC, other programs could swoop in at this point in his recruitment. Even current USC head coach Clay Helton might not be a part of that program by the time Flowe announces his commitment.

While there are other big time programs in play to land Flowe, he won’t find much more continuity and stability with a coaching staff right now than with the Texas football program. Herman and Orlando look to be in with the Horns for the long haul. If that holds, it should continue to win over the interest of Flowe.
