Texas Football: 5 extremely pivotal Junior Day visitors
Unlike some of the other prospects on this list that are pivotal for a positive weekend visit experience to win over some more intrigue, five-star 2021 dual-threat quarterback Preston Stone seems favored to land on the Forty Acres early on. The early 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions for Stone do all go in favor of Texas football.
It’s still very early in the recruitment of Stone, but the fact that the Horns have some traction with him already is a very positive sign. Also, Stone is a very elite talent at quarterback and is only going to gain more national attention over the course of the next year or so. Texas needs to gain as much ground as it can with him now.
Stone’s 247Sports recruiting ranking already slots him as the No. 6 2021 high school prospect in the nation and the top rated quarterback. If everything holds steady for this skilled rising junior at Parish Episcopal School, he will continue to rank as the nation’s top quarterback for the 2021 recruiting cycle since he looks to have the highest ceiling among this position group.
This should be one of numerous visits, official and unofficial, that Stone takes with Texas. Hopefully Herman and the rest of the Texas coaching staff will give plenty of attention in terms of future coach visits too. But, keeping Stone in the mix early on in his recruitment is key to having the next face of the program at quarterback rolling onto campus in the next few years.
