With a big rise up draft boards from a solid Senior Bowl week performance, former Texas defensive end Charles Omenihu could be an early round pick.

With the 2019 NFL Draft Combine looming upon us, the former standout Texas football defensive end and reigning Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year Charles Omenihu is looking to make his name known to an even greater degree. In the Senior Bowl last month, Charles Omenihu proved himself as one of the best prospects at his position in this class.

What Charles Omenihu did this season to help the Texas Longhorns rise to the occasion and nearly win the Big 12 and win a New Year’s Six Bowl was something very few other players on the roster were able to do. There were a handful of Longhorns from the 2018 team that were able to make a huge difference with some big breakthroughs on the field. Charles Omenihu was one of those players.

However, a few of the other players that Texas football fans can look back on as some of the best from this past season includes wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, quarterback Sam Ehlinger, linebacker Gary Johnson, and safety Caden Sterns. Without those four players and Charles Omenihu, the Longhorns likely wouldn’t be heading into the 2019 campaign with a top 10 preseason ranking.

Three of the aforementioned five players are headed into the 2019 NFL Draft field. Humphrey, Johnson, and Charles Omenihu are all hoping to be taken off the draft board by the time that the third round is in the books.

Here’s a look at the definitive five best landing spots for the former Texas Longhorns defensive end Charles Omenihu in the 2019 NFL Draft.
