5. Cleveland Browns

There’s a big need for a lengthy edge rusher like Charles Omenihu to add to the mix for the Cleveland Browns. Omenihu could add some competition at defensive end during the off-season for the Brown along with other players at the position like a fellow Big 12 alum Emmanuel Ogbah and the former Detroit Lion Anthony Zettel.

This is a very vital off-season for the Browns, and the defensive is the main spot that needs an upgrade. The offense for the Browns should be set for a while under the direction of rising second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield and second-year running back Nick Chubb. Talent was added with the controversial signing of former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt too.

However, one of the biggest positional needs in the 2019 NFL Draft for the Browns has to be to upgrade the front seven. Cleveland could also use a boost to the pass rush all-around. It does have a nice piece in place with the former Texas A&M Aggies defensive end Myles Garrett, but there’s not much else to be proud of.

Garrett did have himself a big season in his first full regular season with the Browns in the NFL. He registered 13.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in his second-year. But, adding a player like Omenihu could help strengthen the defensive line and move the Browns one step closer to contention in the NFC North.
