Through and through, it seemed like the visit for the three-star Little Elm, TX, cornerback Ryan Watts was very successful. This underrated in-state cornerback prospect for the 2020 recruiting cycle is starting to get more national attention entering the off-season. But, this is a good time for the Horns to be locking down on his interests for his pledge.

From the standpoint of head Texas football coach Tom Herman and defensive coordinator Todd Orlando making a positive impression for some of the recruits on campus this past weekend, something apparently stuck with Watts. This could be a big get for the 2020 Texas football recruiting class if the relationship keeps building like it has.

Watts reportedly stated after his visit to the Forty Acres that: “It was a great visit , one to be put on top of them all for sure!”

That is a great way for the Horns to be making an impact on big recruiting weekends like Junior Day. Watts is a rising senior defensive back at Little Elm High School and could be narrowing down the final schools for his commitment decision very soon.

Getting the early jump on rising prospects like Watts came at the perfect time during Junior Day. Watts holds a whopping 26 offers and that number should be growing soon. Some of his more notable offers came from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma Sooners, and Texas A&M Aggies. This is a big prospect for the Horns.
