One of the issues for any team that looks into selecting Kyler Murray in the first round of this draft is the uncertainty that comes along with him. The hurdle that people will keep bringing up about Murray is his size, but there are some other question marks with him too.

A common knock to Mayfield in his rookie campaign with the Cleveland Browns, and even dating back to his days at Oklahoma, was his impatient decision making on the run. That’s not a particular knock against Murray, but the point is that picking him up is a high-risk, high-reward move for how early he’ll go in the first round.

Any team that is looking for a player with a higher floor than Murray should gaze no further than the former NC State Wolfpack quarterback Ryan Finley. Even though he had some highs and lows this past season with NC State, Finley was one of the most reliable quarterbacks in the nation.

NC State had a pretty balanced offense under Finley, which should see him adapt quickly at the NFL level. Finley has an accurate ball throwing to pretty much every route on any pro scheme tree. He’s looked good at the NFL Combine so far and should fall as a late first or early second round selection barring a meteoric rise or fall prior to the end of April.
