What’s building for the 2020 recruiting class on the Forty Acres could be something special by some of the early indications from the 2019 off-season. This spring and summer could provide some very encouraging signs that the future under head Texas football coach Tom Herman is very bright and that a national title could be in the near future.
However, the 2020 Texas football recruiting class got off to a good start following a big haul on Junior Day last month. Another big weekend for this Texas Longhorns football program on the recruiting trail this off-season came during the Dallas Opening Regional Combine and Elite 11 Regional.
The Regional Combine was hosted at Colleyville Heritage High School in Colleyville, TX, on March 2. The big event itself was hosted the following day at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, TX. A practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys held some of the top high school football prospects out of the state of Texas on March 3.
We got to see a host of recruits the Texas football program already sent offers out to for the 2020 and 2021 recruiting cycles, and some prospects that are already committed to the Longhorns. In total, there were more than 200 prospects on hand at the Ford Center to take part in the festivities at the Dallas Opening Regional on March 3.
