The offensive line in general will be a pretty big positional need for Texas football at least through the 2020 recruiting cycle. Texas did haul in three offensive tackle commits during the 2019 recruiting cycle, but it will need some more help for the next cycle. Offensive line coach Herb Hand will need as much as he can get to keep this ground game and line thriving.

Texas did get some help for the offensive line through the graduate transfer market and NCAA Transfer Portal in the form of former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets All-ACC guard Parker Braun. Although, like any other graduate transfer Herman hauls in, Braun won’t be a permanent fix along the offensive line.

There’s going to be a heavy emphasis of 2020 high school prospects out of the state of Oklahoma for the Horns in this class. The Texas coaching staff sent out offers to the two top high school prospects out of Oklahoma for this cycle last month. Four-star Broken Arrow offensive tackle Andrew Raym received his offer from Texas on Feb. 6.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions gives Oklahoma the favor to land Raym. The Crystal Ball Predictions also give the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Oklahoma State Cowboys the second best odds to land Raym when it’s all said and done. Although he has less than 20 offers, his offer sheet is chalked full of blue bloods.
