With the recent announcement of four impactful analyst hire to the coaching staff for Texas football, what will each bring to the table?

The Texas football program made some moves before spring camp even officially begun to bolster the coaching staff and try to move this program even further to the brink of national title contention. National title contention might be a bold expectation for 2019, but Texas football should at least be ranked in the top 10 or 15 teams to start this regular season.

More than anything, this recent string of coaching hires for Texas football will likely have a massive immediate impact on the recruiting trail. Having some big name hires that can make some deep connections and bring existing relationships to this staff on the Forty Acres can help to make a big splash on the recruiting trail.

This was a very busy time early in the off-season for head Texas football coach Tom Herman and athletic director Chris del Conte. Adding so many analysts in just the span of a few weeks can be a taxing process for a head coach of a rising blue blood like Herman with the Texas Longhorns football program.

Considering the early jump Herman and the Horns got on the 2020 Texas football recruiting class, these analyst hires could really help out during this long and crucial off-season. Texas football is at a big point for the rise of this program and expectations will be the highest they’ve been since coming off the 2009 BCS National Championship Game loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Here’s a deeper dive into the analyst hires so far for the coaching staff for the Texas Longhorns football program along with a breakdown and grades for each.
