Sitting among the more injured teams in the Big 12 entering spring camp, Texas football does have some issues to worry about.

The Texas football program is now starting to kick spring drills into high gear with the spring football game less than a month away. Spring practice in full pads started about two weeks ago, and a host of high-profile recruiting visitors got to witness the action.

For the most part, Texas football went into spring camp relatively healthy. But, there are some signees from the 2019 recruiting class that did have some injuries that held them out of some portion of spring camp action thus far. Some also missed every part of spring drills so far and will likely miss the entirety of camp.

However, an important part of any portion of the off-season is keeping the players healthy and ready to go for the fall. Spring and fall camp injuries can be unnecessary and detrimental. It is also a concern that comes around for programs each and every off-season. Preventing injuries isn’t an exact science and will always be a part of college football’s off-season.

One key name to exclude from a list like this is the former Texas offensive lineman Patrick Hudson. He had his football career ended due to some major lingering injury issues. That didn’t come as a huge surprise, though, since Hudson didn’t play at all in 2018.

Hopefully none of these injuries here extend into impacting the 2019 campaign. It is not worth having injuries pile up this far out from the regular season.

Here’s a look into the three most concerning spring camp injuries for the Texas Longhorns football program that we know of so far.
