4. Dylan Osetkowski-Jericho Sims would be a fun frontcourt combo

It was hard to know what this Texas basketball team was going to get out of the frontcourt rotation without star freshman forward Jaxson Hayes in the starting five. After a bruised knee injury suffered against the Kansas Jayhawks in the Big 12 Tournament forced him out for the rest of the season, sophomore big man Jericho Sims got a lot more game action.

Since the Hayes injury, Sims started to show a lot of the promise he displayed during his freshman campaign when he was playing along with another star that went into the NBA after one year. Sims managed to register only three points in this game. Most of his production came in other facets with 10 rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Senior center Dylan Osetkowski also proved himself even more in this outing as his insane pace of play and production kept rolling. Osetkowski is on the best scoring pace of his career of late and seemingly wants to will this Horns squad forward in the NIT. He posted a team-high 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a whopping four steals.

Osetkowski is stretching the floor and working the paints for the Horns at this point. Either he really wants to try and make a push to prove that he should have a professional basketball career, or he doesn’t want his career on the Forty Acres to be over. Either way you look at it, this frontcourt duo of Osetkowski and Sims is a lot of fun to watch at the moment.
