1. Ta’Quon Graham and Marqez Bimage become D-Line spark plugs

All the change that the Texas football defensive line is about to see could actually be mostly a good thing in terms of ushering in change and some new talent. There’s nothing but four and five-star level talents about to take over for this defensive line for the Horns across the board. That is as long as the kidney issues workout for redshirt freshman defensive tackle Keondre Coburn.

However, two of the veterans to watch at the defensive end spots for the Horns this year include redshirt sophomore Marqez Bimage and junior Ta’Quon Graham. Bimage got to reserve a year of eligibility on the Forty Acres thanks to the newly instituted NCAA redshirt rule this past season since he only played in four games. But, Graham played in nine so he’s a rising junior now.

The former four-star recruit Graham showed a lot for Herman and Orlando the past two seasons with 18 career total tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in limited playing time. Meanwhile, Bimage has just seven total tackles, no tackles for loss and/or sacks, and one forced fumble in his two-year career.

Both Graham and Bimage have the physical tools and previous experience in their time with the Horns to make a massive impact after the departures of starting defensive ends Charles Omenihu and Breckyn Hager. They do have some work to do to slot themselves ahead of the pairing of rising senior Malcolm Roach and Jacoby Jones.
