Which players out of the Texas football program should we be keeping an eye on for the Orange-White Game taking place on April 13.

Texas football has been hard at work this offseason as they have already completed three weeks of their practice schedule and they now face the final week of practices before their Orange-White Spring Game on Saturday. The ‘glorified scrimmage’ is an opportunity for Texas Longhorns football players to show-out in front of the coaching staff, former players, prospect recruits and fans under the bright lights of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

For head Texas football coach Tom Herman and his staff the spring game is an important piece of a critical evaluation period during the offseason as they begin to put together the two-deep depth chart for the upcoming season.

Putting in the hard work during spring practices, as well as transferring their play from the practice field to the spring game, will earn some players significant playing time during the 2019 season.

The Longhorns return five of 11 starters on offense from the 2018 season as they bring back quarterback Sam Ehlinger, wide receivers Collin Johnson and Devin Duvernay, as well as offensive linemen Zach Shackelford and Samuel Cosmi. With six spots up for grabs there will be a lot of new names playing big minutes for the offense next season, and the spring game will give us the first glimpse at some of the talent on that side of the ball.

This slideshow will take a look at five players on offense that you should keep your eyes on as they have the potential to make big plays on Saturday, April 13 for the Orange-White Game for the Texas football program this spring.
