#3 Jalen Green – Cornerback

Sophomore (6-1, 190)

Another cornerback makes the list as sophomore Jalen Green is expected to be at the top of the list of Texas football corners who could take one of the two opening spots this up coming season. Similar to Cook, Green played the majority of his snaps on special teams during his freshman year as he played in 11 games and totaled two tackles.

Green was also apart of that historic 2018 defensive back class that Herman brought in, ranking as the number six cornerback in the country and the number four overall player in the state of Texas according to 247Sports composite rankings.

While Green didn’t get the opportunities that Cook did with getting snaps on defense during his freshman year, he could be a breakout candidate during his sophomore campaign as he has the talent to be a number one corner for Orlando’s defense.

With a prototypical size and speed combination, Green gives Orlando a chess piece on defense as he can be put on an island to cover opposing offense’s best playmakers.

Expect to see Green join Cook with the first team defense on Saturday, and don’t be surprised if they lock down those starting roles going into the start of the 2019 season.
