Some of the top recruiting targets for the next few cycles for the Texas football program got good exposure this past weekend at the True Buzz Tournament.

The most under-the-radar recruiting event to happen thus far during the off-season for the Texas football program on the recruiting trail in terms of 7v7 tournaments is the True Buzz Recruiting Tournament which occurred on April 13 and 14. Texas football likely didn’t get much exposure for this recruiting tournament due to the Orange-White Game on April 13.

We at Hook’Em Headlines were on hand for the True Buzz Recruiting Tournament held at the Mercy Street Fields in Oak Cliff in Dallas, TX. Some of the top talent in the state of Texas and beyond were on hand for this big recruiting tournament that featured a ton of action and interesting storylines.

The 2020 and 2021 Texas football recruiting classes can learn a lot from what was seen in Oak Cliff this past weekend. There were a number of elite recruits in general on hand in Dallas this weekend to take some part in this recruiting tournament.

The pool play for the True Buzz Recruiting Tournament took place on April 13 and the bracket play and championship games carried over to April 14. Due to a bevy of rain through the morning and early afternoon of April 13, most of the games were played in the evening on Saturday and throughout Sunday. It was a long day with a lot to digest for Texas football recruiting for the next few cycles.
