Rising targets worth offering

With so much talent on hand for this 7v7 tournament this past weekend, there were going to be a handful of skilled recruits that are worth looking further into for future Texas football recruiting classes. There were so many impressive prospects, and the skill position talent is always put on display in 7v7 tournaments.

Among the prospects that are likely to receive an offer from the Longhorns down the road, 2022 True Buzz wideout Armani Winfield should continue to stay on the radar. Winfield already holds offers from the LSU Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Baylor Bears, and Texas Tech Red Raiders. His recruitment should keep heating up in the next 12-18 months.

Another prospect to watch is an offeree of the Oklahoma Sooners and Alabama Crimson Tide already, with 2021 tight end Devon Martin. The 6-foot-5 Poteet standout receiving threat is getting a ton of attention early on in his recruitment, and deservedly so. He was a matchup nightmare all day long.

Looking forward a bit to the 2021 recruiting cycle and potential quarterbacks to target, Highland Park High School’s Brayden Schager could be an under the radar target. He was very consistent and had a host of nice throws all over the field for Team Grind. Schager and Davis were two of the more fun quarterbacks to watch for the entirety of the True Buzz Recruiting Tournament.
