With the second big signing period for this cycle about to close out the 2019 Texas basketball recruiting class, where do things stand now?

The Early Signing Period already came and went for the Texas basketball program on the recruiting trail, but it hasn’t yet made its full impact ahead of National Signing Day 2019. The 2019 Texas basketball recruiting class is also good but it’s not great at the moment. It could be better given the momentum Texas basketball finished this past season with by winning the NIT Championship.

What we do know about this 2019 Texas basketball recruiting class is that it could take shape with a top 15 national ranking if one more commit comes around. Texas basketball hasn’t had much happen on the recruiting trail outside of one visit from an unheralded in-state prospect in the past few months.

Since the turn of the calendar year, the attention from this coaching staff fell squarely on the results on the hardwood, and rightly so. Texas basketball needed to find some momentum to reach the NCAA Tournament, which it wasn’t able to pull off in the end. Yet, it did walk into Madison Square Garden earlier this month and walk out with an NIT Championship after knocking off the Lipscomb Bisons and TCU Horned Frogs.

There were some big wins down the stretch that could actually help this recruiting class at least pick up one more piece. Other good news is that the three commits in store at the moment already signed their respective National Letters of Intent. Here, we will breakdown what’s already in the mix for the Texas Longhorns basketball 2019 recruiting class and what could be to come.

Ultimately, is anything else needed for this 2019 Texas basketball recruiting class?
