Here we arrive at the prospect will be create volatile discussion at the wide receiver position in the 2019 NFL Draft. Former junior star Texas wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey could have an NFL team take a flier out on him in the third or fourth round, or he could go as an undrafted free agent.

His poor showings in the Texas Pro Day and at the NFL Combine could drop his stock very far. Originally he was projected by most to fall as a late third or early fourth round pick. He ran the worst 40-yard dash time of any wide receiver at the NFL Combine, and didn’t show much better at his Pro Day either.

All in all, the case should be made that it was best for Humphrey to come back to the Forty Acres for one more season due to the pure depth in this wide receiver class. This could also be a huge year for the Longhorns offense and team in general in the Big 12.

Texas is getting back a solid receiving corps that could be among the nation’s best this fall. Having Humphrey back in that mix would create a situation where most of the wideouts would be almost unguardable by Big 12 standards. He did show enough with more than 1,000 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns last season that he should fall somewhere in day three.
