Jordan Whittington, Running Back

Although the former five-star wide receiver 2019 signee and Cuero, TX, native Jordan Whittington hasn’t been around on the Forty Acres for long, he’s surely made waves with his showing in spring camp. Whittington already made the move from wide receiver to running back thanks to the lack of depth at that position.

Whittington will get to link up with Ingram to form one of the more intriguing backfield duos in the Big 12 for this coming season. We know that Whittington has the raw talent and versatility to excel at almost any skill position for the Longhorns. He showed out in the spring football game and the two spring scrimmages to show that he can handle this load.

Some would refer to the position switch for Whittington as the “home run move of the spring” for Herman and the Longhorns. Meanwhile, the “home run move” in Game of Thrones in Season Eight thus far would have to belong to an emerging favorite for the Iron Throne, Arya Stark.

The youngest of the prominent Stark siblings, Arya made progress quickly in the show and developed into a fighter that could handle almost anything. Whittington showed in spring ball that he could progress quickly and excel all over the place for Herman and offensive coordinator Tim Beck.
