2. Washington Huskies

The aforementioned 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions for Jaden McDaniels actually gives Washington the lead to land his commitment. But the edge is not too good for the Huskies ahead of the rest of the finalists for McDaniels. In fact, those Crystal Ball Predictions have a good amount of experts still thinking he’s “undecided”.

Yet, Washington is a good front runner to land McDaniels just due to the geographic proximity from Federal Way, WA (his hometown), to Seattle and the university’s campus. Washington was also an emerging power that was the best team for most of the regular season in the PAC-12.

McDaniels could come onto campus at the University of Washington and right away make them a contender again to win a PAC-12 Championship. The goal for Washington this coming season in the PAC-12 has to be taking care of business in the conference tournament. The Oregon Ducks pulled off the big upset last season in the PAC-12 Tournament to win it all and make it into the NCAA Tournament as a 12-seed.

There is also an opening for McDaniels in the Washington frontcourt to come in and contribute right away. It always has to be appealing for a five-star prospect like McDaniels to come in and prove his worth for the NBA Draft immediately. Washington is likely to give him that appeal with a realistic shot at the immediate impact becoming a reality.
