The Longhorns pretty much lost out on the opportunity to land Hampton once he announced his top four.

However, what Hampton brings to the table is a huge offensive threat who can both create his own looks and distribute the ball effectively. Hampton could play anywhere between the one and the three, hence his combo guard title. The driving ability and two-way potential are also there for Hampton, but he has work to do in both areas before declaring for the NBA Draft.

It is a shame that we’ll never get to see a player like Hampton compete in the NCAA Tournament or in an elite college basketball conference like the ACC or Big 12.
