Which position groups will make up the very best for this Texas football team for the 2019 season, entering summer workouts?

Nabbing a solid 2019 Texas football recruiting class allowed head coach Tom Herman to fill positional gaps that might otherwise be very notable weaknesses in this roster. Texas football was also able to find gems in the NCAA Transfer Portal and among former JUCO transfer prospects after National Signing Day 2019.

This point of the college football off-season will mostly be about this program building up on the recruiting trail and in the workout room with the 2019 summer enrollees. Most of the 2019 Texas football signing class made their way to campus ahead of the bulk of summer workouts.

Texas football is also already without its highest rated signee and early enrollee of the 2019 recruiting class. Just ahead of National Signing Day 2019, Texas landed the former USC Trojans five-star athlete signee and early enrollee there, Bru McCoy. That happened just for McCoy to put his name back in the transfer portal last week and go back to USC.

However, Texas does have a lot to look forward to still for the 2019 regular season. Texas has hype that it could take the Big 12 Championship back to the Forty Acres for the first time since the 2009 season. This team won double digit games for the first time since the 2009 campaign last season too.

Entering summer workouts, Texas has to identify the goals that are needed to achieve under strength and conditioning coach Yancy McKnight. What could be to come for them?

Also, who are the strongest position groups for the Texas Longhorns football program heading into fall camp? It won’t be too long before we find that out.
