The ironic part about this list is that all three of the wide receivers/skill position players listed here hail mostly from a Big 12 program. While the to-be redshirt senior Jonathan Giles would be coming from the LSU Tigers after putting his name in the transfer portal, he spent most of his career with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Giles brings a bevy of career experience with him, and could be a really solid target for the Texas football program. And Giles should be immediately eligible out to of the transfer portal no matter what thanks to the graduate transfer rule.

It would also be greatly ironic for the Longhorns to take on a transfer like Giles that put his name in the portal twice. That sounds awfully familiar for the player that Texas would be trying to replace. It would also be interesting for the Longhorns to nab an LSU transfer ahead of playing his former team in Week 2 this coming season.

The traction never really caught on for Giles at LSU. He only racked up 10 catches for 59 yards in eight games with the Tigers last season. For his career, Giles has 95 catches for well over 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns. He can also be a special teams threat for the Longhorns if need be.
