By far the most exciting college counselor that showed up at the Elite 11 Finals, and potentially the Opening Finals too, was Ehlinger of the Texas football program. Getting Ehlinger in the same spot as a current Longhorns commit like Hudson Card was a big addition to the weekend in Frisco.

But I could definitely argue that Ehlinger was the best college counselor that went through the full-field throwing drills. Ehlinger also did well in his Pro Day workouts in the hours leading up to the start of the day one Elite 11 workouts inside the Ford Center.

The impressive part about Ehlinger during the Elite 11 was the fact that he was constantly working on his footwork and mechanics since he was in the presence of other big time quarterbacks and a good coach like the former Cleveland Browns starter and NFL media personality Trent Dilfer.

Ehlinger got good work in at the Elite 11, and he looked polished ahead of fall camp which now begins next month. Seeing Ehlinger at the Elite 11 alongside Card could help tide Longhorns fans over for a bit longer before fall camp comes around ahead of the season opener against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
