It’s not just Oklahoma football players that are hateable that finds former polarizing linebacker Brian Bosworth at the top of a list like this. “The Boz” could be considered the most hateable college football player in the history of the sport.

Sporting News and The Sports Drop also held that same opinion that Bosworth sits among the most hated college football players of all-time. That’s a difficult title to win for a linebacker that was as talented as he was and has as much working in his favor toward a prominent NFL career.

Bosworth was also easy to hate for Texas football fans, though. He led the Oklahoma to three solid defensive performances against the Longhorns between the years of 1984 and 1986. Those three games led Oklahoma to two wins and one tie over the Longhorns. That was one of the more dominant spans in Red River for the men in crimson and cream.

Between the style he had, the outspoken dislike for other college football players and teams, and the cockiness he brought to the field for himself and the Oklahoma defense, Boz was not a likable character in the slightest. And that’s almost what he turned out to be, a character or cartoon.
