1. Exacting his revenge on the Chicago Bears

It had to feel good for Cedric Benson to exact his revenge on the team that drafted him back in 2005, when the Bengals faced his former squad in 2009. The Bengals had a pretty good regular season run in 2009, led by a campaign that should’ve placed Benson in the Pro Bowl.

The peak of Benson’s 2009 regular season was a 189 rushing yard and one touchdown performance against his former team. The Bengals wound up thrashing the Bears by the final score of 45-10. That was the biggest win in terms of margin of victory for the Bengals in 2009. It also sparked a four-game winning streak for the Bengals.

Just after Benson had a huge game to help his team beat the Bears, he became the first running back in more than 40 games that got over the 100-rushing yard mark against that vaunted Baltimore Ravens defense. The 117 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground from Benson helped the Bengals beat the Ravens in 2009 in a massive mid-season win.

Benson never quite had the same success with the Bears that he did with the Bengals. Proving that he was a truly valuable commodity for the Bengals after the Bears dealt him out had to feel right.
