2. Devin Duvernay is a stud

When Lil’Jordan Humphrey decided to leave the 40 Acres for the NFL, it was not immediately clear who his successor and Sam Ehlinger’s safety valve would be.

Devin Duvernay left no doubt on Saturday that he was more than capable of handling the job.

Duvernay finished the night with 12 catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns, including a key touchdown on fourth down. He also showed that he is not simply a speedy receiver, knocking over multiple defensive backs and making touch catches.

While there was much to shake your head at as a Longhorns fan last night, Duvernay was something to cheer for. Expect him to continue his run of success and to break 1,000 yards and 10+ touchdowns this season (and that is being conservative).
