Where will the top prospects out of the Texas football program fall in the 2020 NFL Draft? There’s a handful that could go in the early rounds.

It won’t be too long until the discussion will really heat up concerning the 2020 NFL Draft. And there should be a plethora of talented prospects coming out of the Texas football program that could go early in the draft next spring. In the midst of a disappointing season thus far under third-year head coach Tom Herman, Texas does need a good pick-me-up.

The bye week came at a very good time for this Texas team since the upset loss on the road last weekend in Fort Worth at Amon G. Carter Stadium to the TCU Horned Frogs stung really bad. Head coach Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs have now won five of the last six meetings in this series against Texas.

However, the bye week does give this coaching staff and the players the much-needed opportunity to reflect on what went wrong so far and what needs to be improved. Both sides of the ball didn’t do their part in the loss to TCU, and leaders on each side need to step up.

With that in mind, a handful of quality talents that should have lengthy careers on Sundays could come to the forefront in due time. Texas is chocked full of four and five-star talents on all sides of the ball, and so the 2020 NFL Draft could be a fun time for this program and their to-be alumni.

Here’s a deeper look into the five best early prospects out of the Texas Longhorns football program that could be ready for the 2020 NFL Draft.
