1. Peach Bowl: No. 4 Oklahoma vs. No. 1 LSU

Location: Atlanta, GA

Date: Dec. 28

Head coach Ed Orgeron and LSU will be facing up against a good offense from head coach Lincoln Riley’s Oklahoma squad in this College Football Playoff Semifinal game. Oklahoma and LSU are meeting for the first time since former head coach Bob Stoops fell short against Nick Saban in the BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans to cap the 2003 college football season.

Oklahoma had their starting quarterback named as a Heisman finalist, and they could take the honors back to Norman for the third straight year. Senior star signal caller Jalen Hurts could receive the Heisman honors, depending on how the voters view his rushing numbers compared to Burrow’s passing production.

But an improving Oklahoma defense under first-year defensive coordinator Alex Grinch will be put to the test against Joe Brady and this LSU explosive passing game. No one could really slow down the LSU passing game this season, averaging more than 47.0 points per game (good for third in the nation).

Oklahoma will need their defense to do the best they can, but cornerback is their weakness. A passing game that is putting up 386.8 yards per game and 3.5 touchdowns will be hard to slow down. The LSU ground game is no slouch either, as it’s averaging more than 160 yards per game and around 2.2 scores.
