Wide receiver

Troy Omeire (Fort Bend Austin), 4-Star

If the 2020 Texas football recruiting class wasn’t able to ever haul away the commitment of four-star Fort Bend Austin wide receiver Troy Omeire from the in-state rival Texas A&M Aggies, then grading out this position would be a whole different ball game. But Omeire turned into a really huge get for the Longhorns after the decommitment of the highly touted four-star wide receiver Quentin Johnston.

Once a top 75 ranked 2020 high school prospect in the nation like Johnston flipped to sign with the Big 12 foe TCU Horned Frogs, signing Omeire became an immediate priority for the Longhorns. The nation’s No. 238 2020 high school prospect and the No. 38 wide receiver at least gives the Texas offense another big body passing game target on the outside.

Dajon Harrison (Hutto), 3-Star

Texas went on a streak of landing a lot of under-the-radar three-star prospects of late. One of the first to sign with the Longhorns on Dec. 18 was the Hutto three-star wide receiver Dajon Harrison. This underrated 5-foot-10 and 170 pound elusive wideout could rise up the national recruiting rankings in due time.

Harrison ranks as the nation’s No. 796 2020 high school prospect and outside the top 100 ranked wide receivers. But he has track-level speed and experience playing with Hutto High School on both sides of the ball. He’ll be a special skill position weapon that helps fill the void left by Jordan, who flipped and signed with the Utah Utes.
