2. Collin Johnson gets more than 100 receiving yards and two scores

For almost the entire regular season, Texas football relied on senior wide receiver a Devin Duvernay to carry the passing game. Between the passing yards that Ehlinger racked up and the brief stints that redshirt freshman quarterback Casey Thompson had behind center this season, Duvernay accounted for about 36.5 percent of the passing yards.

Duvernay racked up 1,294 receiving yards on 103 receptions and eight touchdown catches on the season. He also added 32 rushing yards and one score on the ground.

Behind Duvernay in the Longhorns leaders in receiving yards was sophomore Brennan Eagles. While Eagles did have a nice breakthrough sophomore campaign, he only tallied up 518 receiving yards on 30 catches. Eagles did take 20 percent of his receptions during the regular season for touchdowns, with six.

After Eagles in the Longhorns leaders in receiving yards was the towering 6-foot-6 and 220 pound talented senior wideout Collin Johnson. But Johnson only played in six regular season games thanks to a host of lingering injury problems. He still managed to tally up 497 receiving yards on 35 catches, good for two touchdowns.

Collin should be looking at a big game here in the Alamo Bowl if he comes back healthy from the hamstring problem he’s been dealing with. He’ll have a very exploitive size advantage over the Utah cornerbacks. Ehlinger will surely be happy to have him back in the mix if he’s healthy and ready to go on Dec. 31.
