1. Collin Johnson, Texas

Position: Wide Receiver

Year: Senior

Despite a down season during his senior campaign with the Texas football program, the raw physical tools that wide receiver Collin Johnson brings to the table will keep his draft stock at least treading water. If there’s a team that really buys into Johnson in the 2020 NFL Draft, then he could wind up easily going as a first round pick.

What matters more for Johnson than his overall production from his senior season is his performances during the draft scouting process. If he shows out well at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine, then there’s a good chance he will be the first Longhorns first round draft pick in a long time.

However, it wouldn’t hurt for Johnson to show that he’s healthy and productive before the offseason arrives. He’s had a lingering hamstring injury for almost the entirety of the regular season, and only played in six games so far. Durability is always going to be a big question with a receiver as lengthy as Johnson.

The 6-foot-6 and 220 pound Johnson ranks as the No. 9 wide receiver in this draft class, per Draft Tek. The upside of Johnson will be something to watch moving forward, as he has a pretty high floor for how much his draft stock can tank. He could quickly rise up draft boards with a good performance in the Alamo Bowl and the NFL Combine.
