Two former Texas football star wide receivers are competing in the Reese’s Senior Bowl this week to try and bolster their 2020 NFL Draft stock.

Sending a couple former players from the Texas football program to the 2020 Senior Bowl, there’s going to be a lot to watch for this fan base ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. Texas should have a more lucrative class coming out for the 2020 NFL Draft than they did in 2019. In fact, Texas didn’t even have an early or middle round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

This could be the first time in a while where Texas saw an Ex get selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Former senior star wide receiver Collin Johnson and versatile senior safety Brandon Jones are two candidates to jump up the big boards and go later in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft if they perform well during the prep and scouting process.

But only one of those two aforementioned former Longhorns will be participating in the Reese’s Senior Bowl this year. The other is a fellow former Texas senior star wide receiver Devin Duvernay. This will be fun to see what they can do at the Senior Bowl together.

Jones was invited to the Senior Bowl but appears to not be participating in the festivities this week. He did have an injury that limited him throughout the latter portion of the 2019 campaign. He might be waiting for something like the NFL Combine and his Pro Day to more show off what he can do for pro scouts.

Here’s a deeper look into the two former members of the Texas Longhorns football program worth watching in the Senior Bowl this week.
