What are potential rising targets of a future Texas football recruiting class that are worth following at the True Buzz Invitational in DFW this weekend?

A bevy of offseason storylines in the college football landscape tend to fade away once spring camp ends and the long summer begins. College football has a lot that happens between the months of December and April. But all that really remains from then on out is speculation for the upcoming season, a few high profile transfers, and ongoing recruiting sagas. Recruiting is the one part of college sports that never stops, and the Texas football program is more than familiar with that narrative.

Since recruiting battles never cease to engulf the Texas Longhorns football program each passing offseason, what does 2020 hold for head coach Tom Herman? His 2020 recruiting class will be rounded out next week on National Signing Day. And his 2021 recruiting class is ranked among the top 10 in the nation yet again, but there’s still a lot of work to be done.

One source that the Longhorns can constantly turn to evaluate future high school talent is the recruiting combines, camps, and 7-on-7 tournaments. High-profile 7-on-7 teams like All-EN, Fast, and True Buzz are good sources for the Longhorns to pull talent from.

Moreover, there’s a big recruiting 7-on-7 tournament worth following this weekend. On Feb. 1, a number of the best 7-on-7 teams from in-state and Oklahoma will be competing in the True Buzz Invitational in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. A number of the better teams there will be sending numerous prospects to the top schools in and around the state of Texas.

Here’s a look into the three potential Texas football recruiting prospects to watch at the True Buzz Invitational on Feb. 1.
