Former Michigan Wolverines talented wide receiver Tarik Black is reportedly considering the Texas football program as a possible transfer landing spot.

A former standout wide receiver of the Michigan Wolverines, Tarik Black, put his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier in the offseason. And the Texas football program is reportedly one of the few in contention to land him out of the transfer portal. The other programs that appear to be in contention to land the services of Black out of the transfer portal are the Arizona State Sun Devils, Virginia Cavaliers, Boston College Eagles, and Miami Hurricanes.

Texas and Arizona State are the only two non-ACC college football programs that are reportedly in contention to land Black. Maybe another program sneaks into his mind, but it’s interesting that no other teams from the Big Ten went after him with any traction. Texas makes for one of the more appealing landing spots if he is seeking out another blue blood to play for too.

Miami is making their living off the transfer portal of late. Former Texas defensive coordinator Manny Diaz is trying to bring the Canes back to life by building his program off of transfers and then assembling what looks to be a pretty solid 2021 recruiting class. But there’s a good while before that 2021 recruiting class will make their way to campus for Miami and be ready enough to make an impact on the gridiron in Coral Gables.

Here’s a look into the three definitive reasons why former Michigan Wolverines highly touted four-star wide receiver recruit Tarik Black should choose the Texas Longhorns football program when he makes his decision out of the transfer portal.
