2. Patrick Vahe, Offensive Guard

Team: Los Angeles Wildcats

One of the better offensive line that came out of the Texas football program after the 2018 season was an ex-senior starting offensive guard and team captain Patrick Vahe. The Wildcats ground game had a lot more trouble getting things going in their inaugural showdown in the XFL, in a bad 20-point loss at the hands of the Houston Roughnecks.

Vahe wasn’t necessarily the problem, but it was tough for the Wildcats to get any sort of push in the trenches. The Wildcats were clearly outmatched in the trenches last weekend. Former Temple Owls and Indianapolis Colts quarterback P.J. Walker stole the show with more than 300 total yards and five scores in this win for the Roughnecks.

1. Cedric Reed, Defensive End

Team: Los Angeles Wildcats

The defensive line for the Wildcats actually did their job in this loss to the Roughnecks. But that Wildcats front seven didn’t get all that much work in stopping the run last weekend. The Roughnecks offense tallied up just 50 rushing yards, and averaged around three yards per carry.

In this loss to the Houston XFL team, Reed tallied up one total on defense and one tackle assist on special teams coverage. Big #94 didn’t get much playing time in the trenches for the Wildcats, but he could earn his way onto the field if he shows up when given the opportunity and the starters continue to struggle like they did last weekend.
