Three-star Baylor Bears commit and Cy Ranch safety Romario Noel is getting more attention from the 2021 Texas football recruiting class of late.

The depth isn’t really there yet for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class, especially with the recent decommitment of three-star Lake Travis tight end Lake McRee on Feb. 11. Yet, head coach Tom Herman could be trying to add to his 2021 recruiting class with an under-the-radar commit of the Big 12 foe Baylor Bears after hosting him on a recent unofficial visit prior to the start of spring camp.

The Texas Longhorns football program hosted three-star Baylor commit and Cy Ranch safety Romario Noel on an unofficial visit last weekend. And Noel seems impressed by all accounts of what he saw during his most recent visit to the Forty Acres.

Noel opened on on that recent unofficial visit with Horns247 on Feb. 12. Here’s what he had to say on the visit, in brief summary.

"“It means a lot,” he said. “One, it’s an in-state school, and two it’s such a big school.”Noel called the visit amazing, and he said he had a good time meeting with the coaches."

The rising 6-foot-2.5 and 195 pound Cypress, TX, native has already picked up five schools on his offer sheet. But that offer sheet should start picking up more steam in terms of overall quantity. But his other four scholarship offers came from the Kansas Jayhawks, Colorado Buffaloes, Pittsburgh Panthers, and obviously Baylor.

But it wasn’t all that long ago that Noel picked up his offer from Texas in the first place. His scholarship offer came from Texas on Feb. 1, just six days before his most recent offer. His last offer came from Pitt on Feb. 6.

Most of the offers that Noel received thus far came over the course of the last month.

He ranks as the nation’s No. 965 2021 high school prospect and the No. 57 safety. Noel also slotted as the No. 134 prospect out of the state of Texas. During his junior season at Cy Ranch, he racked up 35 total tackles, four tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

This could be a big time underrated target that the Longhorns pursue for their 2021 recruiting class. They have just six commitments left at the moment and the 2020 offseason will be one of the more vital times to add depth to this group. Texas also could use the added depth at safety since don’t have any defensive backs committed right now.
