1. Sam Ehlinger, Senior

A record-breaking junior season for Ehlinger with the Texas football program was mostly overshadowed by how bad this team was at times. Road losses at the hands of the Iowa State Cyclones and Baylor Bears diminished a lot of the success that Ehlinger found for the Longhorns offense last season.

At least a stellar performance in the Alamo Bowl win over the Utah Utes to cap the 2019 season sent Ehlinger into his final offseason on the Forty Acres on a high-note. Ehlinger definitely needed a confidence boost heading into the 2020 offseason since the end of the regular season came with so many highs and lows.

Unfortunately, Ehlinger did see an increase in the number of interceptions he tossed whilst improving his passer efficiency rating, passing touchdowns, yards, and completion rate, as a junior compared to his sophomore year. Ehlinger totaled more than 4,300 total yards from scrimmage for 39 total touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

The passer efficiency rating for Ehlinger capped at a career-best 151.8 last season to go along with a completion rate better than 65 percent. He was also more efficient when deciding to tuck and run with the ball. He had 677 total yards from scrimmage (rushing and receiving combined), while averaging more than four yards per carry.
