The five official visits that two key targets of the 2021 Texas football recruiting class, the Brockermeyer brothers, want to take are now scheduled.

Definitely a top priority for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class is winning over as much offensive line talent in a very fruitful in-state cycle as possible. Texas has two big-time five-star offensive linemen firmly in their sights to add to the 2021 recruiting class. And the highest ranked of that group of offensive linemen is five-star All Saints Episcopal offensive tackle Tommy Brockermeyer.

The Texas Longhorns football program could also have a shot at landing Tommy’s brother, four-star James Brockermeyer, if they get his commitment. Tommy ranks as one of the nation’s top five 2021 high school prospects, but there’s a number of other blue bloods pursuing him at this point.

Texas would be golden if they landed both of the Brockermeyers and five-star Duncanville offensive tackle Savion Byrd. Tommy and Savion are two of the highest rated offensive line recruits in the nation.

Now that the Brockermeyers reportedly have their official visit schedule released, the Longhorns have a timeline they can work with to get ahead of the competition. But one of the competing programs with the Longhorns, the Alabama Crimson Tide, will get one more visit than they do from the Brockermeyers.

The first visit from the Brockermeyers is scheduled with head coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide on April 3. The next will come with the LSU Tigers on May 8. The Auburn Tigers get the third visit on June 2.

After the visit with head coach Gus Malzahn and Auburn, the Longhorns get their fourth visit on this schedule. Texas hosts the Brockermeyers for one final visit before they go to Tuscaloosa for the second time in this round.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions for Tommy have a 57 percent chance that he lands with Texas. Alabama trails not too far behind Texas, with 29 percent of the experts picking him to land there.

Meanwhile, the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions for James have 80 percent of the experts landing him with Texas. The other 20 percent go to the Crimson Tide.

It appears at this point in time that Alabama is trailing the Longhorns in the race to land the Brockermeyers. But scheduling two visits in a round of five total to Tuscaloosa isn’t a great sign for head coach Tom Herman and the Longhorns for the offseason.

That report from Horns247 states that the Brockermeyers did once intend to announce their commitment decision prior to the start of the 2020 high school football season. Alabama and Texas might be the two schools that the Brockermeyers decision boils down to.
