Head coach Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys might be returning the most potent three-headed monster in the nation for the 2020 college football season. It all starts with to-be redshirt junior running back Chuba Hubbard, who shockingly announced he would be returning to Oklahoma State on his Twitter timeline last month.

Beyond the Heisman contender and 2020 rushing leader Hubbard, the Pokes are bringing back to-be senior wide receiver Tylan Wallace. Coming into the 2019 regular season, Wallace looked to be one of the nation’s best wideouts. He’ll be looking to prove that the season-ending knee injury he suffered last season won’t hold him back during his senior campaign.

What Gundy and this Oklahoma State offense need most to complete this trio this fall is the elevated play of to-be redshirt sophomore quarterback Spencer Sanders. Oklahoma State got very volatile play out of Sanders at the outset of Big 12 play. His first three games in Big 12 play last season saw him toss just three touchdowns compared to seven picks.

Sanders will return a whopping 628 rushing yards and 4.5 yards per carry. He also added two rushing touchdowns to that mark. The passing production from Sanders barely eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark. He also had 16 touchdowns through the air and 11 interceptions. Sanders rounded that out with a passer efficiency rating of 145.4 and 7.7 adjusted passing yards per attempt.
