Where should fans on the Forty Acres watch for the next star to rise from the 2019 Texas football recruiting class during the 2020 season?

Since National Signing Day 2020 wrapped up earlier this month (on Feb. 5), most devout college football fans are now waiting to see what comes of the 2021 recruiting cycle. That includes fans of the Texas football program, who are fresh off watching head coach Tom Herman seal off the 2020 signing class in solid fashion.

Texas finished off with yet another top 10 ranked signing class in the nation during the 2020 recruiting cycle. This is the third straight recruiting cycle where Texas finished up with a top 10 ranked class in the nation. Texas is doing well to recruit enough talent to get back into national title contention under Herman’s direction.

However, how can Texas best utilize the last two signing class that ranked among the top three in the nation with Herman at the helm?

There were a lot of players that were able to make an instant impact for Texas over the course of the last two years. But player development is going to be the key at this point. That was the biggest problem for Texas in the latter years under former head coaches Mack Brown and Charlie Strong. Herman can right the ship if he can figure that issue out.

A lot of talent from the 2019 recruiting class needs to take on more prominent roles this fall for Texas to start taking a step in the right direction amid all the coaching staff changes. Texas has a real chance to make some noise in a run to the Big 12 Championship Game again in 2020.

Here’s a look into the three potential breakout players to watch in the Texas Longhorns football program that were part of the 2019 recruiting class.
