Texas basketball might have their 2019-20 campaign finished up one step shy of head coach Shaka Smart reaching 20 wins on the season.

Amid all the novel coronavirus outbreak scares, the Texas basketball program could be seeing their 2019-20 season come to a grinding halt just before it was about to get good. The university announced on March 12 that all athletic events would be put on pause at least until March 29.

Texas didn’t even get to play in their first game of the Big 12 Tournament before the COVID-19 concerns took hold. The NCAA and Big 12 announced that they would be cancelling their various tournaments in the midst of the COVID-19 precautions on March 12.

In the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, the four seed Texas was supposed to take on the five seed and defending national title runner-up Texas Tech Red Raiders. And the first day of the NCAA Tournament would’ve taken place next week.

If the season is done with, Texas finished up with a record of 19-12 (9-9 Big 12). They won five of their final six games of the regular season. The only thing that kept the men in burnt orange from finishing out with a six-game winning streak was the regular season finale letdown at home at the Frank Erwin Center on March 7 that saw them lose by 22 at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Even with that 81-59 loss to the Pokes last weekend, Texas sat on the bubble heading into the Big 12 Tournament and Selection Sunday. But that doesn’t really matter now as all Texas athletics are on pause at least until March 29.

Looking back on something more positive than all these COVID-19 precautions, what are the best overall performances from various Texas players from the season that was?

Here’s a look into the three team MVP’s from the Texas Longhorns basketball program during the 2019-20 regular season.
