As a potential top 10 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the former Iowa State Cyclones star sophomore point guard Tyrese Haliburton is the most notable prospect coming out of the Big 12 this year. But Haliburton did run into a hurdle in this NBA Draft process (outside of the obvious with the COVID-19 effects) when he missed around a dozen games in the back half of the season due to injury.

Haliburton should be recovered and ready to go whenever the next NBA season comes around. His 6-foot-5 and 175 pound frame allows Haliburton to thrive on both ends of the floor, but he still has the natural skill set of a standout point guard. His defense also should only continue to improve from here on out.

In 22 games played last season, Haliburton averaged 15.2 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, while shooting 50.4 percent from the field, 41.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 82.2 percent from the charity stripe. A very solid 12.3 box plus/minus rating and .187 win shares per 40 minutes made for a special season for Haliburton while healthy.

Haliburton only got to play in one game against Texas last season. He posted 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals in an eventual Iowa State loss to the Longhorns. He would be injured and miss the rest of the season three games later, in an Iowa State win over the Kansas State Wildcats.
