The last name on the list among former Longhorns that was a teammate of KD is the former 6-foot-10 and 290 pound towering center Dexter Pittman. And although Pittman only played in 50 games in the NBA, mostly with the Miami Heat, he did still at least get some role at the next level. That is more than Abrams could say when it was all said and done.

The Heat did make a decent investment in Pittman, as he was the second round pick for them in the 2010 NBA Draft (32nd overall). He even got a ring while playing alongside LeBron James with the Heat in 2011-12. But prior to playing with LeBron in South Beach, Pittman was starring alongside KD on the Forty Acres.

You can’t really say that Pittman was a bona fide star yet in college during his freshman campaign in 2006-07. He played in 29 games in 2006-07 with the Longhorns, and didn’t start in a single one. It wouldn’t be until his junior season (2008-09) when Pittman would become a regular in the Texas starting five.

In those 29 games played, Pittman averaged 2.6 points per game, 1.8 rebounds, 0.1 assists, and 0.3 blocks, while shooting 60.4 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from the charity stripe. But one of his 1.8 rebounds per game did come on the offensive end. Some of the advanced numbers for Pittman in college were pretty impressive too. He registered .220 win shares per 40 minutes and a 4.3 percent block rate during his freshman season.
