A wide receiver who could have the highest ceiling of any player out of the Texas football program in this draft class is the 6-foot-6 Collin Johnson.

The 2020 NFL Draft is set to begin on April 23, and it is really the only action in the sports world that we can anticipated during this pause to the sporting world thanks to the novel coronavirus pandemic. But the NFL was one of the few professional sports leagues in the entire world that provided a tangible news cycle for fans over the last couple of weeks. And that will continue to be one of the few sources of energy and entertainment for fans of the Texas football program in the near future.

Texas has about four or five players that should be picked up in the 2020 NFL Draft. This should be a better draft class from Texas this year than it was last. In a rare occurrence, the first Texas Ex to fall off the board was drafted until the fifth round, with defensive end Charles Omenihu going to the Houston Texans. The only other Texas Ex picked in the 2019 NFL Draft was cornerback Kris Boyd, by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round.

While it’s not likely that any Texas Ex in this draft class is picked in the first round, there could be two or three players to watch on day two. Those three players to watch that are threats to be the first Texas Ex off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft includes wide receivers Collin Johnson and Devin Duvernay, and safety Brandon Jones.

Johnson in particular sticks out as one of the more potent and talented lengthy wideouts from any Big 12 team in this draft class. He stands at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, with good hands and leaping ability.

Here’s a look into the three best landing spots for the former wide receiver out of the Texas Longhorns football program Collin Johnson in the 2020 NFL Draft.
