Texas Football: 3 best Devin Duvernay 2020 NFL Draft landing spots
3. New York Jets
This new look New York Jets offense during the 2020 NFL season will still need to be bolstered a bit, or they’re going to have to stay very healthy this year. The Jets signed former Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan State Spartans running back Le’Veon Bell to join a backfield that also includes Kenneth Dixon and Josh Adams.
The receiving corps is the thinnest part of the roster at this point on the offensive side of the ball. Wide receiver will be led by Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman, and Quincy Enunwa. There’s no one that really stands out as a key primary wide receiver with the current group at hand. Duvernay could at least provide another quality target in this current questionable mix.
Former USC Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold is hoping to see a big rise in his third year in the NFL. Darnold had problems of his own, but it was partly due to a lack of overall talent in his supporting cast. The Jets should have a healthier and revamped offensive line, along with a better running back stable.
Wide receiver is one of the biggest overall positional needs in this draft class for the Jets. The 4.39-second 40-yard dash speed that Duvernay brings to the table is going to be a big help to this Jets skill position group. They don’t have a wide receiver that quite fits the mould that he does. There could be one or two wideouts that the Jets pick up in this draft too.
