1. Seattle Seahawks

The team that is a Super Bowl contender year in and year out but is still in true need of at least a few upgrades to the offensive line is the Seattle Seahawks. This coming season, the Seahawks are looking at an interior offensive line with Ethan Pocic as the starting center and D.J. Fluker and Jamarco Jones as the starting guards.

Last season, former NC State Wolfpack and Wisconsin Badgers star quarterback Russell Wilson was a true MVP contender. But the Seahawks offensive line didn’t do much to help his case besides prove how impressive it was that he still had such a solid season with a mediocre offensive line in front of him.

A quarterback that is so fleet of foot like Wilson that couldn’t avoid the pass rush a whopping 48 times last season means that there is a problem with the group in the trenches. Wilson was sacked 48 times and had a sack rate of 8.5 percent. That is an incredibly high sack rate for a winning team and a dual-threat quarterback like Wilson.

The good news for the Seahawks is that they have a few underrated and skilled offensive linemen that they can find in the later rounds of the draft like Shackelford. The four fourth quarter comebacks and five game winning drives that Wilson led last season could be redeemed by putting more protection in front of him through the rest of his prime years of production.
