The second wide receiver target trending away from Texas football in a matter of days could be 4-Star Bloomingdale product Agiye Hall.

Last month, the Texas football program and head coach Tom Herman figured out they would likely miss out on landing four-star Plant City wide receiver Mario Williams. When he dropped his latest round of finalist cuts in mid-March, Williams excluded Texas from his top five schools. He did have Texas in his top 10 finalist schools, which he dropped on social media last fall.

Now the Texas Longhorns football program could be grappling with the loss of another potential highly touted wide receiver target of their 2021 recruiting class. Four-star Bloomingdale wide receiver Agiye Hall has a lot of top tier programs pursuing him on the recruiting trail at the moment. And it appears that most of the programs winning over his interests this spring are from the SEC.

Hall originally received his Texas offer in July 2019, so the Longhorns aren’t just now getting after him by any means. But the Longhorns aren’t listed among the three teams considered to be “warm” (per his 247Sports recruiting profile) in pursuit of his commitment. Those three programs that look to be in the lead are the LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Georgia Bulldogs.

Why it’s important to know who is in the lead to land Hall is because he is soon to announce his commitment decision. On his Twitter timeline on April 17, Hall announced when he would be making this decision public.

The nation’s No. 63 2021 high school prospect, No. 10 wide receiver, and No. 11 prospect out of Florida is set to make his pledge on April 18 at 6 p.m. (presumably EST).

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have most experts picking Alabama over the rest of the field. Although there is still one expert picking him to land with the Clemson Tigers. He’s pretty clearly trending to Alabama at this point in time.

And the Rivals FutureCast favors Alabama over the competition to land the commitment of Hall. The last visit to Tuscaloosa on the recruiting timeline for Hall was an unofficial back on Nov. 9. He won’t get another visit in before announcing his pledge decision, but no one is at the moment.

Agiye holds offers from just shy of a whopping four-dozen schools. The highlights of the schools he has offers from that aren’t already mentioned here includes the Oklahoma Sooners, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, and USC Trojans. The Valrico, FL, native was one of the most highly sought after prospects thus far during the 2021 recruiting cycle.
