A large quantity of special athletes that the Texas football program had on the roster last season had a select few that were really entertaining.

It seems like forever ago that the Texas football program was wrapping up their 2019 season in the Alamo Bowl against the No. 11 ranked Utah Utes on New Year’s Eve. Texas took down Utah in the Alamo Bowl by the final score of 38-10 to finish up the season with a record of 8-5 (5-4 Big 12). That was a big win to allow head coach Tom Herman to head into the 2020 offseason with a cooler seat than he had entering the regular season finale.

Texas turned over much of their coaching staff at the conclusion of the regular season and the outset of this offseason. Herman replaced former offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Tim Beck with former Ohio State Buckeyes passing game coordinator Mike Yurcich. And he replaced former defensive coordinator Todd Orlando with former Rutgers Scarlet Knights head coach Chris Ash.

With a rejuvenated coaching staff, Texas should be in good position to make a real run at winning the Big 12 this coming season (as long as there is a 2020 college football season). They are also bringing back a lot of talent from their 2019 team. Texas will be one of the more experience teams in the Big 12 this coming season.

But which players are the fans most anticipating to watch that were on last year’s roster? There’s a number of players you could look at to find that answer, but only a handful that were truly entertaining and productive game in and game out last season.

Here’s a look into the three most exciting players that the Texas Longhorns football program had on the roster in 2019.
